Shandur
Mela
Shandur is a beautiful Plateau in
Ghizer District Northern Area's of Pakistan, which is famous
for the World's highest polo ground at the high altitude of
12,500 feet. Every year polo match between the two regions
(Gilgit and Chitral) is being organized which has now turned
into an important annual festival.
The Polo teams of Gilgit and
Chitral play matches every year, large number of tourist from
within Pakistan and abroad arrives in Shandur to attend the
Shandur Polo Festival. it was difficult to reach shandur in
the Past but after construction of the road and operation of
regular bus and coach service by NATCO, it has became easy and
accessible to every person who want to enjoy the Shandur Mela.
Phandar valley
Phandar is one of the most beautiful spots in the Ghizer
Valley. its serene outlook and picturesque river is teaming
with trout- and idle place for anglers.
Yasin
valley
Yasin is another valley in Ghizer District. it is beautiful
valley with snow caped mountains, lush green fields and
friendly people. Yasin valley touches the Darkut Pass to
Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
Ishkoman
valley
Ishkoman is a Scenically beautiful valley having its Tehsil
Headquarter at Chatorkhan. The Chatorkhan. The Chatorkhan is
famous for its fruit orchard and enchanting gardens.
